I'm currently fighting depression and anxiety. The social stigma that college is always fun, that you have to party to have fun, isn't true. My "friends" stopped hanging out with me because I suddenly wasn't this out-of-control girl who was always happy and loved to party. I'm still struggling today but know that in order to end mental health stigma I have to remember that those people don't define me- I define myself. To be kind and open is strong. Life is hard when you're 20 because suddenly *poof* all this responsibility is on you. I hope that my story could help others my age, or even at my university. You may feel alone and some people really won't be good to you-BUT- keep pushing through because you'll come up as stronger and more resilient than ever before.
